Oops the Jets signed Mike Williams. They need to protect their aging QB. They likely should go with an OT. That would leave a possibility for
us to grab Bowers @11, if it goes down that way. In my view he's the best fit for us. But if Harbaugh wants to run the ball that badly OT
is still very much in play.

Big question: What do we do if we stay @5?

Today, I'd pick MHJ or Nabers. By the time we're on the clock, hard to say.

Greed will be your undoing... Two high thirds THIS YEARs draft are GOLDEN in comparison to other years.

I don't know enough about the different between Malik and Marvin but agree, if they stay at 5 - go WR

If the Chargers trade back, I hope the Jets go OLine over TE

So if talking about the Jets to move from 10 to 5

Since they do not have a second, it would be
              2024 3rd
              2024 4th
              2025 2nd

That would be the minimum the Jets would have to pay to move from 10 to 5. And the reason it has to be a 2nd as a 2rd rounder could be pick 98 - too much variability.

It's not greedy, it's the norm. Anybody would take the 2nd over two 3rds....well cept you I guess.

Add in 66, 69,71,90(Via swap). Really it depends on whos left and what we pick in upper rounds...if we pass on Receiver in the first with a trade down I'd be taking two receivers anywhere you like here. Add in another RB, Maybe an Interior Oline or Linebacker. Receivers I like a lot are Burton, Walker, or Rice. RBs i think will be available are Wright or Allen. If Brooks drops for some strange reason he would be my first pick at 66 or Benson too.

I think you meant a third rounder could pick 98 - and you're right, one reason future picks are worth less is the uncertainty of what the pick really is. The other is that its not now. and nobody likes to pay today to get something a year from now. Financial markets for example are all built on a foundational agreement that the future value of money is less than it is today, and the question/bet is always how much less.

Only if your targeting a specific player in the second. I have no problem with that but in this years draft we can get solid talent in the third round that we can use. In other draft years you would be right.

Today's Mock - the No Trade draft. I don't hate it, didn't get too tingly though ...

                          Correct - yes -- -I meant a 3rd round

Like the Allen trade - the Texans wanted the pick to be a 2025 3rd rounder. Well the Texans are pretty good so that pick could be at the end of Round 3 in 2025. I would rather have a pick at the beginning of Round 4 in 2024 than the potential of a late 3rd round pick in 2025. Future picks are a range of 32 draft slots. Current picks are exact.

AZ thought with getting the Texans FRP this year -it would be in the top 10, or top 5. What is it, pick 27 or something
