Let’s win one for Mack.

Again, let me spell it out for you. richpjr wrote that it is obvious from today's game that we are short at several positions, completely ignoring that we actually have pretty talented players at those positions who are injured, completely ignoring that we are playing 3rd and 4th stringers at those positions. The very fact that we are scrambling to fill holes by playing practice squad guys and players out of position makes it obvious that we cannot draw any sort of rational conclusion about our roster needs (except perhaps depthwise) from this one game, as richpjr seems to think.
Now, if you want to argue that based on the outcome of the season as a whole, plus the age and/or roster status of some of the "returning" players, we need to fill these positions... well, that's a different argument that I might or might not disagree with.
In any case, while yes, I do think that having our starters return is an upgrade over playing our 3rd and stringers -- and the better question is why don't you? I think most people would rather have starters than practice squad players recently called up out of desperation! -- the very fact that I stated that these players are simply part of a mix that includes whoever we acquire via draft and free agency contradicts the notion that I am in favor* of standing pat.

I hate to add to the list of needs I think we just need a number 1 go to reciever, Allen is a nice reciever but I don't think he is a number one at this stage in his career, he may be able to develop to a number 1. Speed is definetly a need it will just open up things for the other recieving options. In the two minute drill you need that go to reciever we have a bunch of 2 and 3 recievers, Allen, Brown, Royal, etc..........
Speed at corner also!

Floyd probably wont be back unless you think we should pay him 4 million for guy that is hurt ALL THE TIME and will be 32. DX is coming off of yet another ACL tear and he may not even be back. You can read the rest of my explanations again. I dont agree that all those guys will be back and even then, we can do better than some that might.
Not my fault you dont understand.

I'll be watching Keiser, Williams, Te'o, Troutman, and Gilchrist the rest of the season. I think these guys maybe can contribute, at least as depth.
The number one need of this team is pass rushing, especially outside speed. Opposing olines stay so compact it's hard to create any blitzing lanes, and they can do this because we don't threaten the edge enough.
