If Brady can get the ball out quicker than Bosa and Ingram can get there I think the problem is more on the back end than the front.

The problem was everywhere. lol We couldn't cover Edelman on the quick hits and we couldn't stop the run. I really expected us to be able to stay with Edelman. But great route runners will make great DBs look mediocre at times. Stop the run...force them into 3rd and long situations. They need more time for those plays to develop. Allows Boas and Ingram the time to make an impact. They ran at will.

Jalen was a starting RB at TENNESSEE before transferring to Baylor/position change. He led Baylor in receiving in his first season as a WR.
I'll I can say is watch tape my good sir. Watch UT tape of him as a RB at his size, crazy skillset. Watch him in his lone season/1st season playing WR at Baylor, again crazy skillset. His potential is off the charts!

Here is a good history of his college career and why certain decisions he made to leave UT and playing as an RB.

Hurd was a five-star running back recruit who ranked among the top 10 players in the country at his position despite playing in just one game as a senior due to a shoulder injury (he was Tennessee's Mr. Football in 2012 with 3,357 rushing yards). As a true freshman at Tennessee, Hurd led the Volunteers in rushing (190-899-4.7, 5 TDs) and also contributed as a receiver (35-221-6.3, 2 TDs) while starting 9 of 13 games played. He made an impact in his first bowl game, rushing for 122 yards and two scores against Iowa in the TaxSlayer.com Bowl. He was a second-team All-SEC pick as a sophomore, starting all 13 games, again leading his team in rushing (277-1,288-4.6-12), being active in the passing game (22-190-8.6), and excelling in the postseason (Outback Bowl MVP with 24-130-5.4, TD vs. Northwestern). Things began to change in 2016 when Hurd started the first seven games of the year (112-4541-3.7, three TD) but suffered a concussion. He approached his coaches about a position change due to the head injury, and when they declined to move him, Hurd decided to transfer. Baylor accepted him into the fold in 2017, and he sat out the year while learning the wideout position. Coaches used him as a running back on occasion (48-209-4.4, three TD) during his senior season, but he won the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year award because he led the Bears in receiving (69-946-13.7, four TDs) while starting 11 of 12 games played. Hurd had a procedure on his knee in December, missing his team's bowl appearance.

I agree that Ingram would have done more at MLB but as long as Brady had those very quick throws in is back pocket he could pull them at any time and not worry about the run not gaining a lot. We need Steve input here. I think we are groping in darkness on this.

Haven't read this entire thread yet, but I'd imagine that, with the Ravens cutting Weddle loose, they're a) creating cap space to sign Mosley long term, and b) going after Adderly in the draft.

Which, for me, sucks due liking both on the Chargers.

I also remember our DBs playing faaaar back, like we were letting those quick throws go uncontested. I mean we were basically playing prevent D from snap one.

                          No!
Yes we will be picking late but when we do draft a QB in the first, we can trade up. There is a nice class coming next year and we don't need to go to #1.

Hearing the Redskins are interested in Rosen if available since Smith won't play next year and may be done, and their owner will give up more than we will. Rosen would start right away so they would probaby give up pick #15 in this draft.
