    a talent big board
    Correct. Reaches are organization killers.
I do not grade QBs either. Too many unknowns on the mental and leadership questions marks for an armchair Scouting Director/GM like me.

I see your point... But what if the top of your board is never a QB?
how do you solve a need?

If the 5 I mentioned are not there at 6, I would be very disappointed.
Tua at 6 or Wirfs would be consolation prize.

I’ll support whatever QB the team has picked/acquired. I’m an Easton Stick proponent. He has everything in a QB besides quality arm strength. This can be developed. Hopefully he’s been working hard with the S&C coach to improve shoulder flexibility/strength, core and leg power. His body mechanics can be honed to improve arm velocity.

So then if your top 5 are gone who do you pick?

re okudah, I see what u mean... But what if he doesn't pan out to be a shutdown corner? What if he is an average starter? Than we drafted our 4th best corner with the pick #6.
That's why I'd go wills, wirfs or becton first
Hell, dude...Okuda will be the best CB on the squad by year 2...possible growing pains, but he would easily be the most talented CB on our squad year one.
              Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

It’s happened before, why not with Stick.

                  Exactly.
If we pick a QB this year, I’ll root for him too.

                      I disagree.
Without proving it in the NFL, he is in NO WAY either better or more talented than Hayward or Harris, to me, not even than King.
Maybe the most phisically gifted, but that's all.

We are all forgetting how some college talents don't translate to the NFL.
That may or may not happen to okudah, but before Hayward and Harris go somewhere else, he won't be more than the 3rd better cb on the team in my opinion.

The last first round CB we took shut down half the field for us (when healthy lol), I believe Okudah will be even better in the pros (and hopefully healthier).

am I the only one confused by this post?
i THINK i get the spirit of your post
and maybe it's just semantics, but there are absolutely more talented players currently playing in college than some/many pro NFLers.
now being proven is different, you have a point there.

and Okuda can absolutely prove to be a better corner than Heyward in his rookie year. unlikely but very possible.
