Level of competition, and positional experience says it all....multi positional in the case of Simmons...but I see Simmons playing a lot more LB than DB for us, perhaps you see it differently. Chinn's value for me drops because I don't see true Safety as a need, and you can only project him to LB...Simmons is proven. How different of an animal? At least a round, maybe 2 in the draft.
    I concur.

I see Chinn as our WIL//DLB as I do Simmons. Simmons is my #1 while Chinn is my #38th prospect. If I cant pick Simmons or Murray, I like Chinn, Wilson, Gay Jr, Harrison, Dye, & Queen in that order.

Chinn is a nice prospect, I'll agree to that...but will he be BPA at #38? That's my concern taking him that high...I think he will be there, so in 3 weeks, we'll see if the Charger brass agrees with you...

Unless, of course, we nab Simmons first!!
      Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Chinn is a poor man's James. Makings of a solid professional football player. But I see Safety group as one of the strongest groups on the roster ... maybe i'm not as smart as the gurus here. I'd be looking WR, RB, TE, QB ... LB, DL, OG/OT, CB ...

then again, TT (Gus) loves safeties.

          One more great defender,
and we will have a top 3 D for sure.

          Put on your Depends, Patrick.

dmac, I get completely mental about the NFL Draft. Over 300 simulations on several websites. Disparate Big Boards.
Some film study. Trade experiments. Spider Graph Charts. RAS. Staring at the LAC depth chart for hours. What a shame that the 3Cone was a fail in Indy. No Pro Days. Bummer.

There is oneness with The Big Board in the Sky.

          Regardless, you can do this.
          Everyones scout's eye is invaluable.
We do not play modern football.

Lol, man that's a lot. I cut way back on what I used to do.....which still wasn't that much. I don't really care for simulators. They aren't realistic in the least but I'll try them here and there out of boredom.

Going thru all those scenarios can drive ya crazy and then after all that, the team drafts a Buster Davis, Larry English or Jonas Mouton....wtf.

I used to always write-up a complete 7 rounder for every team. Stopped doing that a few years ago.
Watching video is all I do now asside from actual games.

I was watching a handful of RBs the other day. But no top RBs. More middle of the draft from Akers on down.
Watched some more WRs last week. Not real thrilled with the TE class and wouldn't pick one early.

I got lots of time right now lol.

              Seven rounds.
              Thirty two teams.
              That's obsessive.

I definitely see round 7 RBs.
              Warren II.
              DJ Dallas.
              Herrien.
              Tip of the iceberg.

              We can go RBC
              or an inside grinder.
              Ekeler and Jackson
              are a good start.

              With this tree XFL receiver
              we just signed,
I am not quite as concerned,
              surprisingly so,
              at WR.

              You are right about TMI.
              I could go heavy D
              or QB + trade up
              for big 4 OT.
              Trade remaining mid rounder
              for mutliple late picks.
              Take advantage of playmaker depth
              that way...

              Carpet bombing at these simulators
              helps,
if you do many, many different simulations.
The algorithms are getting pretty good, Jolt.

Emmanuel 2.0...say what you want about Kyle, he payed off as a fifth round pick. Solid contributer...can't have an all pro at every position....this kid will be similiar....though more as a pass rusher depth plus special teams.

I think hes a better pass rush prospect. He has pretty solid hands for a D2 guy.
