Yeah, so did Mariota...according to this board and I don't want him. He sux in the NFL. He'll flash one game, suck for 3 more.

I didn't want Mariota coming out either when the rumors were we trading Rivers to draft him.

Hard to judge a QB who is on the best team in college and his WRs are NFL worthy, and even then I haven't been enamored. Rather have the Burrow kid at this point . But Tua should be on the list.

What is sad is that spending a high draft pick on a QB doesn’t solve the other problems on this team. It has to be done, but putting a rookie QB behind this oline would be pretty scary.

I think the same thing. I expect next year to be PR's last season. It's sad to need to use the #1 pick on a QB when we so badly need improvement at other positions but it looks like it's time.

True, I think we need someone to get excited about. 16yrs under Rivers and hasn't gotten it done, lets try something new.

he is till a great qb but you can see it oesn't make sense to him at this point. he has talked about retirement and family and i can see him leaving at the end of the year. good for him.
i thought lac would draft a cb first, now with the spot, hopefully they can pick an herbert or whomever is rated high on their books

Not sure what Rivers will decide, but I expect him back next season even if we draft a QB. Having someone sit behind him for a year or two would be a great thing to see how a pro goes about fill study and prepping for a game. But that does nothing to make the team better next year.

If we don't get better at developing a decent oline, via draft or FA...I say we draft Hurts. If our new QB is gonna be running for their life, they ought to at least be good at it.

Honestly, though...I figure River's to be here 2 more years. He will return on a 2 yr contract, have a really good bounce back year...and then another shitty year...and then we will move on. Just my gut prediction. Let's hope that bounce back year is THE year....

And i still like the Tyrod signing. Everybody has been complaining about terrible backup QBs for years, now they complaining about a good one.

Everyone complains with no solutions. So who you got as the 2-3 OL he should of signed?
