as often as possible. When he gets loose, Austin prolly breaks more than one tackle during each carry.

Up to a point, it is true that Gordon has been called upon to pick up tougher yardage, often between the tackles. If we rightfully presume that defenses are keying on swarming and wrapping up RB#1, the disparate results are expected.

We like Ekeler, not as RB#1, but as a 30-40%er, and a receiver. He gives major impact there.

If critty’s stat is correct, he said carries, not passes. Either way, Gordon gets plenty chances in space to break a tackle, seems it’s not his thing unless he’s already up to full speed. Ekeler gets fast so damn quick, must help a lot.

I'm unusual I guess because I like both EK and MG and I hope MG remains a Bolt, provided he is willing to play for an amount that's commensurate with his ability.

I like Ekeler a lot. I wish they'd use him more as a slot receiver with MG in the RB role. I think he's capable of playing the same role in our offense that Edelman plays for the Patriots..

This is just one marker pointing to Gordon's poor vision and awareness...another marker is his frequent inability to identify the hole and hit it fast...sorry, adios, Mel...even though u want to be back as a Bolt, u burned us once with yer holdout...shame on u...shame...

Nope.
Gordon was very good in 2018.
1 broken tackle per 8 carries.

Ekeler was 1 per 10 carries in 2018.

The holdout hurt the Chargers and hurt Gordon.
He wasn't ready for 2019.

We all saw it.
The stats just tells us our eyes test was correct.

Gordon can still be a very good RB. But he has to get back to 2018 form. And I'm not a fan of his holdout, all he had to do was go perform in 2019 and either the Chargers or some other team was going to pay him in 2020. His 2019 performance hurt his value. Plus his holdout made a statement to me that he cared more about money than winning. And I dont want that on the team. Im over Gordon. Most NFL RBs are a dime a dozen except players like Ladainian, Barry Sanders and Walter Payton.
