The holdout hurt the Chargers and hurt Gordon.
    He wasn't ready for 2019.

    We all saw it.
The stats just tells us our eyes test was correct.

Gordon can still be a very good RB. But he has to get back to 2018 form. And I'm not a fan of his holdout, all he had to do was go perform in 2019 and either the Chargers or some other team was going to pay him in 2020. His 2019 performance hurt his value. Plus his holdout made a statement to me that he cared more about money than winning. And I dont want that on the team. Im over Gordon. Most NFL RBs are a dime a dozen except players like Ladainian, Barry Sanders and Walter Payton.

So when would you like to draft a RB ?

3rd round is the sweet spot... after you fix the OL in 1st and 2nd round.

      OT in the 1st
      OC in the 2nd
      RB in the 3rd

      Players not positions.
      OT: Thomas, Wirfs, Wills
      OC: Biadasz, Humphrey
      RB: C. Hubbard, N. Harris, C. Edwards-Helaire, K. Vaughn

Is it Gordon (or any other RB) just "getting back into form"...? Or is it the OL in front of him...? Chargers beat Chiefs last year with no KA or MG. LAST YEAR... when we had a good LT and OC...

BTW... Derrick Henry has 105 yards on 13 carries (8.1) in the first half of the Pats/Titans game. Titans up 14-13.

                I'm not spending a 1st on RB unless I'm getting a S.Barkley or Tomlinson.

But 2nd rd & 3rd rd is a very good spot to get a RB.
RBs like Henry, Cook, Bell, Kamara, Mixon, Chubb, Drake, Hyde, M.Sanders, Gore, McCoy, Hunt and many others were drafted in 2nd/3rd. Because RB is not valued like it used to be 1st rd talent drops to the 2nd and 2nd rd talent drops to the 3rd. So thats probably the spot to strike if you want to add a RB to replace Gordon.
Who has it better than us?

You have backs that ran behind zone and backs that ran behind power OLs. Its possible that the best fit from the higher rated RBs is Taylor for us. We do some things similar to Wisconsin. Im sort of ready to move to a more power blocking scheme personally. But i think we are headed towards the mobile qb friendly type offense.

OSU runs a zone and Barrett would work well in our current system. I think if we are going with a QB who has legs we will see a lot of RPO inside/split line zone. Spread etc. Kind of excites me. Because at my core im a High School and college football fan. Maybe even more than the NFL.

Barrett with Tyrod Taylor at QB behind a monster OL along with our outside weapons would be interesting to watch to say the least. Doest work out you draft your QB in 2021.

We need to fix this o-line in free agency with proven vets ,,, meanwhile we need playmakers to score more points 2 match the KC scoring machine.

D'Andre Swift, aptly named, sits @ #16 overall. He is in play. There are some serious hops in this well rounded player.

You want to win ? Stop with the old leather helmet platitudes.

There are skill position players early
                          and Olinemen mid and late.

These same issues happen every year.
