I don't know what to make up with this Female NFL analyst. She has us taking Tua at six and the Joe Burrow dropping to #5 with miami. I can see miami moving up to #1 but Joe dropping to #5. Crap I would trade up to #3 for Joe. Crazy draft analysis.
With some surprise high-value free agents still on the market -- namely edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney and quarterback Cam Newton -- the mathematical decision translates to win-share value of more-known quantity at edge (Clowney) plus rookie quarterback ( Joe Burrow) versus more-known quantity at quarterback (Newton) plus rookie edge (Young). With the Bengals' subpar O-line -- and the rules of this mock narrowing our focus to 2020 wins only (disregarding future years) -- Young, who is my model's highest-rated player, barely edges out Burrow. In Mock 1.0, there was a much bigger gap in win-share increase between Young and Burrow. Now, that margin is razor thin
Yeah long time ago
in 2013 ej manuel was drafted like 18 overall
and those guys sucked really bad.......cause they were not great QB's in college either...... that is more of a typical year and why if you need a QB, you have to take advantage when there actually are one or 2 of the elite ones available.....
most drafts dont have any Elite QB's in them......
there are some that have had one elite QB.........
there are a rare few that have had 2 elite QB's.........
there have been 2 drafts with 3 elite QB's in them..... '83 and 2004....
There are NONE that have had more than 3 elite QB's....
most QB's should not be drafted in first round or at all........
you should never draft a QB in first round unless you believe he is elite...... way too many stupid bad organizations have wasted first round picks on horrible QB's who were not even great in college......
Since we are drafting art 6, and desperately need a new QB, We are lucky that this draft has 2 elite QB's that we have the opportunity to draft or trade up for............. the rest are all very iffy ones with major flaws who were not consistently accurate.....

I think Herbert’s 2019 problem was his coach/system. No particularly data behind that - sort of wishful if you will. He will be epic, take him! (Or not)
