Robinson reports the Lions are leaving the franchise tag on the table as an option even though it would cost an otherworldly $26.7 million. The Lions would have to undertake all sorts of cap wizardry to make that number work. Detroit knows it would be foolish to let Suh get away, but the financial particulars of the situation make it a real possibility.

Damn the more i read up on this the more it looks like its true. At least for him. I guess he has some sort of option for 2015. So im not sure if that number is adding to it the cost for him to be on the 2015 roster. So the option plus the tag number is totaling 27 million. Not sure.

No he was under contract through 2014 with an option for 2015 i believe.

So Suh probably can cost lower than the $26M, but probably in the $18M range. I think Watts has a huge number as well.
