I'm surprised the poster who said we should trade away all our picks for Burrow for the next 3 years has not made an appearance in this thread.

If we can’t be cocky coming out of camp with a young, confident , talented, and fairly healthy team when can we, as Charger fans, be kool-aid drinkers?

In looking at CIN depth chart, this should be a favorable matchup for us.

They are deep at WR, but we are deep at DB.

We have plenty of weapons in our arsenal,
but they do not have the athleticism at DB to stay with us.

Our key obviously will be getting pressure on Burrow,
from Bosa, Ingram, Nwosu and Justin Jones.

Albeit CIN gets back Jonah Williams, out with injury in all of '19,
and he is a prized OLT, drafted #11 overall in 2019.
We do not play modern football.

When qb is a big question mark, the left side of your line is a potential horror show, and your best over all player is lost for the season, there is no reason to be cocky.
Sugar induced highs are still okay.

Agree pressure is key. I expect Joseph to get a significant rush on multiple plays. Not as sure about Tillery but he'll get the chance. At least a pass deflection.

A loss against Cincy would be a big blow.
We quite probably would be looking at a 1 - 4 start with losses coming from: Cincy, K.C., Tampa/New Orleans (road games),

Its a game bad Charger teams find a way to lose & good Charger teams win comfortably.

I don't see LT - LG being a potential horror show. Mediocre, maybe. They've been practicing vs near equal to better players. Should be ready.
We will run the ball, throw occasionally. Up to Steichen to keep the pressure off Tyrod.

DJ was an exceptional young SS.
Our DL is very good, 2 potential HOFers. CBs same. S, LBs are good - very good.
True they ain't all that until they smack somebody in the mouth.
IMO it's on Gus. We have the talent.

QB isn’t a question mark. Tyrod is a game manager, not Phil type elite passing game, but doesn’t turn the ball over. We are going to run the ball 30+ times a game, deep strikes off play action, move the pocket with bootlegs, and play field position.

Feeney is very good in the ground game which favors our new offense.
Tevi is the big question mark as well as Pouncey’s health.

The kool-aid is delicious come have a glass.

Cincy DL is very strong in the middle. Two terrific DTs against both run and pass. Glad to have Turner and a healthy? Pouncey. Feeney is ok when he is aggressive and run blocking. This is a good game for Tevi or whoever is the LT to get in some work as the Cincy ends are not so great.

Cincy WR are good, but Ross was a near bust until last year and Green, is he still hurt or is he back 100%?

Trae Waynes, who would have been their best corner, was placed on IR recently.

By the way, we get Kevin Harlan who is ok and Trent Green for the announcers, Green hates the Chargers for cutting him and then later Harrison blowing his knee out and then playing for the Chiefs. So get ready to hear him root for Cincy.

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Just remember, September is preseason for the Bolts. Games don't count till October.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

That is all predicated on being very difficult to stop running the football. I'd have to see it to believe it.
San Fran, Tennessee & nobody else plays offense that way & succeeds.

Lynn came in with a rep for putting together running games. It hasn't panned out so far & if this year follows
suit, Lynn will be looking for a new job next year.

Ice cold kool-aid with spring water? Or is it of the Spanos variety: luke warm bog water in a dirty glass?
