We should have a thread like this about every opponent.

Been really concerned lately about Govt use of the weather stations equipped with thought rays being remotely deployed on our special teams personnel.
Just a thought. not making any accusations for ANYONE OUT THERE LISTENING.

It's kind of like saying Booth was using a LeMat instead of a Colt. Both are revolvers, and the fact that Lincoln was shot and killed doesn't change. Both routes involve Allen running left-to-right away from the defender on a timing pattern, and absolutely none of the points I made are invalidated. So, take your time and enjoy the moment: It won't change the fact that, as usual, you're wrong, or the fact that, as usual, no amount of words on anyone's part will persuade you of that.
After you're done enjoying the moment, would you like to engage in a breakdown of each of Rivers' INTs this season, or any season, or all seasons, or any other QB? I don't particularly relish the thought, and I really would seem foolish for wasting my time, but if it's the only way to make you see how utterly stupid your claim about QBs is, I could be persuaded.
Here, the defender is actually in the direct path of Allen's fake, even playing to the outside of Allen. If Allen is able to make contact with the CB, he likely cannot drive on the ball as effectively.
As to your point, it is an ineffective one. Of course, Allen's momentum is taking him away from the play. It happens all the time and yet other WRs are able to catch the ball, break up the play or at least make the tackle. Allen's failure to do any of those things makes his effort weak by comparison.

At no point have I addressed what Fleet said.
My comments refer to a situation in which a receiver is running away from a defender. The fact that the route was a square-in instead of a slant does not change any point I argued.
There, I am done arguing this play. I have said what I wanted to say. I'm not going to repeat myself ad nauseam. If anything I've said is unclear, go back and re-read my posts. If you want to interpret my comments to be saying something I'm not saying, or you want to insist that your whipping boy should be able to violate the laws of physics, you go ahead and continue to make a fool of yourself. I'm done making a fool of myself by responding on this subject.Adipose
