It is much, much too early to say much of anything about Campen.

That would be the case even without COVID limitations on tutoring.

We need growth from our guys.

we all see when the O-line misses a block, we rarely see them when they got the D-line gasping for air and floudering in the trenches.

Definitely need to bring in more capable OL who could possibly become legitimate players.
I don't think many teams have number 1's starting at all 5 spots.
If TT isn't brining in the right guys, NO coach will have success.
And at this point, I'm not sure Telesco has done that.

Jim Lachey had a good career...for Washington.

Too bad Lachey bailed on the Bolts after his first contract...he was a Pro Bowler for us also...

I get what you are saying but I guess I disagree as to why it was close. It was close only because Herbert is tough, mobile and made some incredible throws. We came out with a decent game plan and then, as happens in seemingly every game, the other team made adjustments and our coaching staff seemed utterly befuddled by them and we gradually gave the game away.

The only coach that appears to be doing a good job (great job, actually) is our new QB coach. Our D is passive and eventually crumbles, our offense is dull and unimaginative for long stretches, our ST are abysmal and our head coach is mediocre. Hell, the only good really good thing happening on the team, Herbert, wouldn't even have sniffed the field if Lynn's pet QB was healthy.

100% True Pep Hamilton the QB coach definetly deserves some credit for getting Herbert ready, and If Taylor didn't get injured he would of been starting and we would have the same record 1-4, but I don't think the scores would be as close we would be losing by more Herbert makes plays Taylor can't make. Crazy Coach Lynn said he struggled with the decision to turn the keys over to Herbert.

I think Pep Hamilton had a Star Wars quotable to Coach Lynn - the scene when Obwan Konobi tell Yoda "That Boy (Luke Skywalker) is our only hope". Herbert gives us hope the future!

I will give Campen some credit, but I think it also has a lot to do with Herbert having good pocket awareness whether it is just side stepping or moving up, or quick releass, and not to bash on Rivers, but Herbert mobility and movement in the pocket is a plus.
