At the end of the day it looks like spanii is losing the fight for LA.

Rams have a brilliant young coach who is making the best of his average QB and has his team sitting at 7-4 and going to the playoffs.

Spanni got a reprieve this season because of covid.

But wait until next season and the lack luster PSL sales and the empty stadiums on game day will be on full display.

Or if the Raiders, Cowboys, steelers or chiefs come to town, the stadium will will be full of opposing fans.

That will be hugely embarrasing to spanni and he'll be forced to make a change.

So yes some things never change.

Chargers ownership will need to decide if coach Anthony Lynn and general manager Tom Telesco are the right people to turn the organization around before addressing roster questions for next season.

OC Register - Looking ahead to the many questions the Chargers face for next year

Lynn still views himself as the right man to turn the organization around, but it’s not up to him, fans nor pundits. Perhaps not even general manager Tom Telesco will have a say about Lynn’s future. It will be up to team owner Dean Spanos and his son John, the president of football operations, to decide in which direction the Chargers go for next year. Perhaps the Spanos family is aware of the fans’ perception of Lynn and will decide to add a new head coach to create a buzz in a relatively new city.

Or the Spanos family sees how close the Chargers have been this year, and if it weren’t for a few injuries, the record is 8-3 instead of 3-8. But injuries was the excuse last season, and it might be that the Chargers are top heavy with star players like Bosa and Allen and are in need of depth. That would fall on Telesco.

Lynn and Telesco are likely linked together. It’s rare when a general manager hires three head coaches. Telesco hired Mike McCoy during his first season with the Chargers in 2013. The Chargers have only made the postseason twice in Telesco’s eight seasons — once with McCoy and once with Lynn.

The Spanos family will need to answer all these questions about their front office and coaching staff before getting to the many questions regarding next year’s roster.
