I have joked many times about if Telesco gets another crack - his dream will be complete with the ND thing if he hires Kelly... That being said
taking an objective look at Kelly
From Grand Valley State to Central Michigan to Cincinnati to Notre Dame
--he has literally worked his way up. Whereas guys like Lincoln Riley and even Dabo -- though both have done well, landed at prime time schools loaded with talent. And Dabo especially has built on that

So objectively - Brian Kelly I think would be a fine hire. He has not been afraid to fire coaches. He seems to adapt his offense to the personnel - especially at QB. I mean a year or two ago he let somebody leave who was starting QB to start Ian Book - worked out well.

So if Telesco did keep his job and hire Kelly - I think he has shown that by working his way up from small college to whatever CMU is too to a non Power 5 like Cincinnati finally to Notre Dame - he is probably a prepared for the NFL.
