the years as an OC (he has more combined years at the NFL level than Staley, Smith and Brady combined)
He has worked with a lot of QBs - good, bad in between
Hopefully he hits a grand slam today

Hopefully. No more NFL coordinators that only had a couple of good years. Like JH always say “experience is the best teacher”.
Now there are a lot of one time hired /fired guys out there, Allen, Lews, Pagano, Josh Mc D, a couple two timers, Del Rio, and Caldwell and Jason Garrett belongs in the first group
But Daboll with his experience not only as an OC - but he has been at the bottom with the Browns, Dolphins and Chiefs as well as the top with NE, Alabama and now Buffalo - has a different type of experience
Too many of the "hot coordinators" - and McCoy was a good example - only were successful and its not because he was a genius. He had Payton Manning and a helluva damn good roster in Denver that won him games. Like ARthur Smtih these two years has had a Derrick Henry lead offense. Now yes, his work with Tannehill is good but it hinges on Henry. Heatmiser showed the list of QBs Daboll has worked with - it runs the gamut
Miser compared Daboll to Arians and I thought a good comp. Many years, highs, lows, but more than anything, worked with a lot of QBs, Coaches and teams so has that level of experience that quite frankly Brady, Smith or Staley just cannot have to date. I have nothing against those three guys, and you can even add Eberflus and Saleh to a degree - I just know what has worked for the Chargers and what hasn't historically.
And for the Chargers, this is for the Chargers only, experience means a helluva lot!!!

Don’t want him as HC because he’s super average from what others have said.
