Not too long ago, folks where wondering when/if Allen would realize his tremendous potential. Should Pep Hamilton be a head coach because of the record setting performance of Justin Herbert? How about Steichen? I do like Daboll's play calling this season though. Cannot argue with that.

Bienemy says he ascribes to the Lynn 'Let the players do the talking and let them lead the team' Does that not bother anybody? And I keep hearing about his offense, but I have to wonder after reading about him if it is his offense? Or is it Reid's? On the plus side, he has spent quite a bit of time with Andy, learning that offense and observing him calling plays. So he comes to the table with that.

I'm not against Bienemy but I can't buy the idea that he's great because of the KC results. Name one OC that couldn't get good results from the lineup that the Chiefs have assembled. Add to that his HC has long been known for his prowess offense.

        He won't be here.

If we are talking DC's... I've been liking the things I'm reading about Matt Eberflus from the Colts. He's 50. Worked his way up. Coaches a good unit.
(Was originally hired to be the DC for mini hoodie, but when he backed out, Eberflus stayed on with Frank Reich)
Coached in College, then moved to the NFL in 2009. Played for Saban for a year in college.

Now that would depend on who he would bring with him as an OC. And who knows what kind of staff he would bring...

But I like him. Google him, there's some good articles out there about him.

        OC type: Arthur Smith (Titans)
        DC type: Matt Eberflus (Colts)
College HC: Matt Campbell (Iowa State)
        Special Teams type: Dave Toub

That's my four right now... but that has changed every week. Every week a new candidate pops up for me. LOL.

Brandon Staley the Rams DC is also getting some love recently as well.

I agree. I actually think he is coming back as I think they beat the Broncos and who knows with the Chiefs - they could be playing there practice squad players. Now, would Dean just see the W as an excuse to keep the "well respected leader who everybody loves in the building" or would he realize they beat the Chiefs practice squad and look deeper into the issues

I am still convinced it will take an embarrassing loss to the Broncos for him to lose his job. And it has to be a loss.

Who the hell thinks we will be playing practice squad players against the Chiefs? Either they get caught in a trap game with a shootout in Atlanta, and end up playing hard for that #1 seed, or they will be getting a bye, and I think Reid plays it out to keep his guys tuned and frosty vs. a big layover.

Only way I see starters sitting is if they are injured, or we are up big in the game. Just my gut feeling.

If the Chiefs wrap up the bye week - I don't see Big Andy playing Mahomes, Kelce Mathie, Chris Jones against the Chargers. The risk is too great. They will be fine .

I would just hope that if the Chargers beat the Chiefs B squad - Dean doesn't take that as some big positive.

I truly think this weeks game will define Anthony Lynns tenure - how he coaches this game will decide his fate. If he wins, no matter how he coaches, he will be back

I hope the Spanos family haven't forgotten the 45-0 loss against a team that doesn't have as good a lineup as we have - I sure haven't!

The Spanii will say "Lynn rebounded with three straight wins after a terrible loss"

Maybe a good combo to hire would be the guy from the Ravens - begins with an H if he brings Wink Martindale along

Anthony Lynn was OC in Buffalo in 2016, so I will nominate him as an OC that could not get good results from the lineup the Chiefs have assembled.

That said, I agree with your point about Bieniemy.

Assuming KC clinches the #1 seed this week, I think they will play their mostly healthy starters for at least half of the week 17 game against us. Reid is smart, so I think he will realize that three weeks between games is too long and runs the risk of causing players to lose their sharpness.

What makes it all the more galling is the very next week, the team across the parking lot kicked their collective asses, 24-3 and Cam Newton was benched in the second half.
