I like Brown, but he needs work on his technique a lot. He also doesn't take on double teams well. He has great physical tools and can penetrate, but by no means is he a sure fire impact player, especially as a rookie.

I also believe the team is much higher on Carreathers than people on this board think of him.

That would be great if Carrethers turns into rotational player.

He's certainly got the size and strength to man the middle. We just desperately need a guy to keep interior linemen off of Butler and Teo. Both guys need to be able to get outside the tackle box to be continually effective.

I agree with you. It would also allow Lissemore to take more snaps on "run" downs at DE and get Reyes off the field.

He has only 631 carries in his college career, and outside of a groin injury in 2011 didn’t miss a game in his last three seasons.

I love the low mileage, I thought it was greater than that.

And there's a lot to be said for taking a less physical back who has a lesser chance of getting hurt from all the pounding.

Of the league's top 12 or 15 rushers last season, only 1 or 2 were first round picks.

RB's are really bad value in the first round.........when's Telesco's contract up?

I still love the concept of a big 3, QB/RB/WR. A big 4 with a TE is deadly. This completes the triad.

You're right! There were actually 3 1st round picks( Lynch, Ingram, Peterson) in the top 15 NFL rushers last year.

I don't know if they'd let him go for less than a 2nd. He is one of the top 5 techs in football.
