Agree...... it had to be price and willingness to keep existing coaches...... which Chargers have done ever single time we hire a new HC..... always forcing them to keep existing cheap coaches......

I like the change up from going with an Offensive guy at the HC position. I am curious now as to who will complete his staff.. He wasn’t on my radar until after Meyer and Saleh were no longer options, then he was a guy that intrigued me.

Brandon Staley, who has met w/Jets and Chargers (and possibly Lions to come) would bring a very strong staff of rising coaches, I'm told, including Texans DC Anthony Weaver, Colts DB coach Jonathan Gannon (great work with that secondary) and Bears DL coach Jay Rodgers (former QB)
