Guys like Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Lafleur, etc have all changed the stereotype of what the HC is “supposed” to look like.
It’s possible to be young, fit and not bald and still be a good HC.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:
- 69-74 record
- 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
- Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure

The Spanos have missed on this model time and time again. Nothing against Staley: i know very little about him - no doubt he did a very good job in L.A.
If its him, i get the idea that he will be the head coach in name only: more like the DC and he can bring his people on that side of the ball. Pep/Streichen will continue running the offense (& who knows, maybe Lynn will still have the headset on ).Comment
