I can listen to Staley talk shop all fucking day. I would kill to sit down and talk strategy with him. I love his mind. He is obsessed. I feel like he has coaching down. I never felt that way about Lynn. He was more of a coach manager to me. Staley truly feels like a leader of men and a professor of football. The IQ is screaming to me. Love it.

This guy has a PhD in football. And the ability to transfer his knowledge to his players will be evident.

I *get* that there are some things that Staley feels completely free to talk about, and other things he doesn't want to reveal. So, what he does is steer the conversation toward what he's WILLING to discuss, and then he won't shut up! lol

I've found myself thinking on a number of occasions as I listened to his pressers: "Wow, Staley sure took that question in a different direction than the questioner had in mind."

And btw... this element of the Head Coaching Skill Set was something Mike McCoy had absolutely ZERO of. The only way Mike McCoy had of "managing" a journalist's question was to say "I'll have to look at the film, and get back to you."
