Injuries can no longer be an excuse.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

    - 69-74 record
    - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
    - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
    - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
    - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
    - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
    - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

Staley’s best trait as a HC. Emphasizing injury prevention.

Remember the preseason when he wouldn’t play his better players. Did it matter?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Fangio has been speaking pretty fatalistically in the last week or so, whenever he's been asked about his future with the club, so his dismissal is less of a surprise than it might otherwise be.
There was no chance he was going to be brought back. THey had too many fans who bought tickets and then didn't show up. Not good when your team is going up for sale.

Time to work coach! Here’s hoping you can shape this defense in one off-season , draft, free agency, coaching. Please do not waste Herbert’s talent. Next year again fellas! Up and down season , we pretty much knew this defense was bad all year just wanted to get in to see how it would go. Really hoping this lost stings for all players and coach and they come motivated next season.

I think not having all our new players get some game time reps against another NFL team definitely hurt us early.
Those 2 TD's that were called back against Dallas lost us the game. And they were called because the players on the field were out of whack with each other( I don't recall another one of those calls the rest of the year?)

Phillips was a cheap signing initially for Belichick.....wouldn't have cost telesco much.

i remember the argument i had with one member here who said Phillips was just a guy and expendable.

The disorganization of the Charger defense, pre-snap, after the timeout was just as bad.

The coaching staff really shit in the bed last night....horrendous.

Some here (me) were unimpressed with last week against the decimated Broncos squad,
and then there was the Texan's game debacle.

They staggered to the finish while healthy......that didn't happen under McLynn.
