You could use the DT has a blocker, with the primary responsibility of keeping the guard off Bosa, no?
Or you could have the center occupied by the other DT, who you place over center or in the A gap.

Lots of options Bradley could have explored, since he rarely sent the inside linebacker on a blitz.
Didn't even bother feigning the blitz because the inside linebacker had to race back and cover
4.3 40 receivers on deep posts.

Watch the next video I posted where they slide to Bosa's side. That's what they wantbto do every play. Showing the 'A' gap blitz long enough freezes the C so the G can't help the T. If the C does slide, it's a delayed blitz and K9 has a clean run.

Another impact is that if they are sliding protection to the right every time the opposite side pash rush has a much easier time. On Nwosu's hit of Fitz he has an inside rip with the LT on an island. If they had slid protection left, he would have gone straight into a G.

Staley also had multiple play calls last year where he used the line shift toward Donald to get a free rusher on the NB blitz. We haven't showed that yet, but it's there. Bosa dominates protection calls just like Donald does, so the same concepts apply.

Our opposite side EDGE players do need to do better with all this space. Getting Tillery on a stunt with Fackrell crashing should also be there and maybe get him some momentum.

It isn't all that new, aside from the formation difference in Staley's scheme. Murray has done what he did under Bradley last year.

Bosa hasn't had good pass rushing DTs to play along with. Something he needs. Then it'll make it harder for teams to double team Joey.

We have had a good or great off season this year. Signing Houston would have just made too much sense for the Chargers to do, there is only so much good that can be accomplished in one off season for us.

Houston signed a one-year deal with the Ravens for only $2 mil. Surely we could have outbid them with $3 mil or so. You can never have enough pass rushers. But, as Heat mentioned, maybe there was something else going on. Too bad.
