I wouldn't really call that "defeating" the block. Defeating the block would be taking it on, and then split the double team. Not avoiding it by falling down.

Covington had a pretty decent game. He is not a great player, but he is an improvement over the level of play that Jones and Tillery brought last year.

Any time an OL ends up on the ground I call it a win.

I used to split double teams by pulling the front collar of one and doing a High C (for anyone who wrestled) right between them with my other shoulder. OL have a suprising tendency to fall down when you disappear.

How do you hide a 300 lb giant man like a fumblerooskie? He snuck right under those dudes like he was coming out of a viet cong cave - magician!

I’d call a 300 lb man sneaking completely underneath an OL before he even knew what happened = defeating the block, but each his own i guess. unless you’re saying the lineman wasnt trying to block him?

Of course the first name is Maurice.
Exactly what I was thinking. What with the 2 F's?

Ffrench amassed 2,832 all-purpose yards during his four years at Pitt, finding the end zone as a receiver, a ball-carrier and a return man. Ffrench is coming off an incredibly productive season, too, leading the nation in catches-per-game (8.7) while breaking Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald's single-season school record with 96 receptions.
I'll say this for him-- he reads his blocks expertly.

As they should be. I counted four plays in the first quarter from special teams that helped WFT get a field goal They are not hidden yards.

This may sound weird, but in the Middle Ages, there was no symbol for the ‘capital f’ letter. So they just wrote ff to represent the capital instead. People who spell their names starting with /ff/ are merely using obsolete law hand.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Looks like Mr. Ffrench may be related all the way back to a baron who was an ally of William the Conquerer:

Last name meaning Ffrench: This interesting surname is of Anglo-Saxon origin, and is an ethnic name for someone from France, derived from the Middle English (1200-1500) "frensche", from the Old English pre 7th Century "frencisc", meaning, French...
