Like no other disease, Alzheimers' makes family and loved ones understand there is grief before ones
    passing.

Coach Schottenheimer, paired with Tomlinson, Gates, Brees, Jamal Williams, and so many other
of that last golden era made it so much fun to be a Chargers fan again.

His "Chargers Heart" exhortation in the locker room after a major statement win was so meaningful
    then, is even moreso now.

    RIP Coach...

God speed Coach - he passed away on Monday

My favorite coach with the Chargers and every year that goes by, he just becomes better and better. A True Head Football Coach.

This offseason when going through names of who I wanted as coach - above all else I wanted the Next Marty Schottenheimer - Head DAMN BALL COACH!
(maybe Staley will be that coach for 8-10, 12 years that makes his team better every day, every week, every year)

              RIP, Coach.

Some of my fondest Chargers memories will always be from Marty's time as Coach. He really did turn around the culture of losing.

Seems like yesterday he was developing Gatesy
and giving our OL a kick in the nutz.
