Wouldn't be surprised if Jackson is cut with his injury after injury. If he gets hurt in preseason, im sure he is a gonner.

We will most definitely draft a RB. Where that is, who knows but ive no problem starting from round two for the right guy.

Keep Ekkie...he's a great change of pace but not a Bell Cow...

Sign a decent FA RB...there's usually a glut of them, especially with salary cap casualties...
Draft a sleeper RB in late rounds...and as Ninja said, hope we hit the jackpot...
Promote a UDFA to be our 4th RB or PS...there's always a ton of them...
Keep an eye on other teams' practice squads for poaching targets...

      Done...
Im not cutting Kelly, he is cheap and the biggest RB we have and im looking for improvement there............. Ballage is a Free Agent. Good as gone.

Actually i dont like your plan lol. Im not signing a FA RB. Too many in this draft that i like.

        Ridiculous after his rookie season.

Only after the draft and must cost a minimal amount.

          I hope not.

Sign UDFA out of smaller colleges. Pick up cast offs. Ekeler is good, but needs someone to share the load. Ballage is not the guy. JK could be the guy? But he regressed rather than coming on... Jackson is good, but can't stay healthy.

You can pick up decent running backs anywhere. Look at SF. Mostert, McKinnon, Coleman, all picked up off the scrap heap.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I was not impressed with Kelley last year, but it's way too soon to cut him. Ballage is just a guy who can be replaced pretty easily. I like Jackson but if you can't stay on the field, it is hard to keep him on the roster. Maybe as the 4th back.

They are all small, injury prone, part time rotational type of backs..... we do not have a big, fast, durable every down all round back..... we need to add 2 of those and keep Ekler, and the best one of the rest....

People are giving up too soon on Kelley. I thought he showed potential early on. It's too early to throw him to the dust.

We could use a better version of Ballage. One that doesn't have the mileage.

Okay, so give Kelley another chance, cut JJ and Ballage...plenty of RB's available in FA, draft and UDFA...

I think there will be some decent veteran options out there for the minimum along with Ekeler, Kelley and maybe a Day 3 pick. Granted, if a back falls to the third round that makes sense, and some mocks have Sermon in R3 - possibly. Get the OL fixed and lets see how Kelley does.

Justin Jackson doesn't need to be cut - he doesn't make any money unless you are worried about injury

We need to find someone like the Jags did in James Robinson last season who was a UDFA. Someone like that in day 3 of the draft or as a UDFA. Another Ekeler if you will.

Checkout the latest stats for James Robinson. Get info about his position, age, height, weight, college, draft, and more on Pro-football-reference.com.

I just remember what he did against Gus's D. 1070 yards on the season in 14 games, 7 TDs on the ground. 344 receiving yards and 3 TD catches. 5-9 220lbs.

JJ would save 920K. Its no a lot but its near a minimum vet wage for someone. Cant help from the trainers room.
