I remember reading after the 2017 draft that Belichick supposedly had been targeting Feeney in the third round and that Telesco "stole" Feeney from him. :mcnugget: Who knows really.

Or they just werent good enough. It happens. I do know we were all happy to get Lamp and Feeney so cant fault Telesco as he did what many here would of done.

Name of topic deserves like on its own.

May happen that both of our ex - guards will be pro bowlers on other teams however they both busted for us and clearly are not the answers.

Team needs to find different solutions.

Anyone who is blaiming Telesco for those 2 picks please feel free to do so but only if you did not like them on draft day.
I personally have been over the moon with those picks and had great expectation but we are here unfortunately...

Is it possible that Lamp becomes a good starter with the Bills ?

There's an old saying that I apply here: If one guy calls you a horse's ass you can probably ignore him. But if 2 or more do, you better buy a saddle.

It would be one thing if a guy didn't develop as hoped for. But when every OL pick doesn't develop, there's either a coaching or picking problem.

If you were to ask Feeney and Lamp why they failed to fulfill expectations with the Chargers, and they answered truthfully in their opinion why, I wonder what they would say.

The philosophy he talks about is to draft well and resign them.
                  He isn't getting it done.
Think it's time for him to go and Chargers should look to hire someone from the Saints or Ravens.
They’re not going to fire him until after the draft. That’s the only time to do it.

I'm not defending Telesco here, but I'm surprised that no one has mentioned these two facts:

                      1) All seven of Telesco's picks in 2017 are still in the League.
                      2) Other teams thought enough of Telesco's Round 2-7 picks to sign them as free agents.

I have long thought the last two coaching staffs did not do a good job developing young players and that speaks much more towards TT and Spanii's coaching selection rather than player selection.

You also have to factor in the new offensive, defensive and ST schemes we will be running and some of the players let go simply may not be good fits for what the new coaching wants to do.

Bosa & Allen were resigned to nice new contracts, Perryman was kept around for a bit, and everyone else left after 4 years

James, Nwosu, Jones, White, Jackson....who gets the new contract? If James gets re-injured, maybe none.

Its not like Telesco has been drafting near the end of each round.
