I bought extra and sold them for a profit through the San Diego Reader. I took a hot chicka I had been trying to get a date with for awhile to the playoff game. I was expecting a Chargers win and a little post-game romance. But neither happened. The hot chicka just wanted to go to the game, she wasn't really interested in me. It was a disappointing day all around.
She sucks. She never deserved you or your ticket.

I recall fours threw, what, 5 pics?

IIRC, Dan Pastorini was out for the game, and replaced by Gifford Neilson.

Fouts threw 5 INTs, three to Vernon Perry. The Bolts also had a blocked FGA.

Hard to believe the Chargers found a way to squander this game, but they did... It was absolutely one of the club's best opportunities to reach a Super Bowl.

Earl Campbell was also out that game. Lore has it that the Oilers figured out how to steal their play calls, beats me.

I remember that game well. The night before it, I went to a Mexican restaurant in Solana Beach and Fouts, his wife and another couple were eating and drinking there and pretty drunk. I mean absolutely hammered. Didn't affect his play the next day though!

In that time, it was the way of life.
In the 70's, some hockey players smoked at the intermission !

You talking about Fidel's? Fouts lived in Carmel Valley and allegedly went there a lot.

It was the Market Cafe, just down the street from Fidels.

Heres the top edge talent he’ll be facing in 2021.
Really looking forward to the Chase Young rematch.

Who do you guys think will give him the most trouble?

think he has trouble w/Watt, Chubb, Young and Garrett.... which means he handles his biz in the other 12 games,
