Guys it says I’m fluent in sarcasm doesn’t it? Obviously Staley is much bigger on Adderley than all the people that were saying we need a starting FS out of this draft. I thought Trill would be the pick if we went DB in the 7th but I’ve got no problem with the pick. It’s the 7th, physical upside and chance to immediately contribute on ST makes this a good pick.

Sorry Ninja, what is DS?
If it means Deep Safety, that is certainly not where he'll play.
He'll have to show in camp( most likely on teams) to make the final cut.

Defensive Safety. I use DS instead of SAF.
Looks like a big .05/DS combo and a core STer.

Since Staley actually came out and said Adderley would be starting for us next to James, I’m not sure why people seem surprised we haven’t replaced him.

I don't think so. This is a special teams pick and depth at safety, a position where the team is very thin. Adderley is going to be the opening day starter.

I saw where he said that Adderley was their kind of guy, but I did not see anything about him giving Adderley the starting position even before training camp begins.

If he did, that seems very questionable to me since Adderley's play was roughly equal to that of Pipkins, which constituted a big hole at LT.

Of course, if we cleverly have no talent at FS on the roster, then that improves Adderley's chances considerably. And right now, we do not.

Hopefully, Telesco signs Malik Hooker ASAP.
