To me—Ek is a gadget back, a hybrid. He’s not a RB1 but he is an outstanding athlete that can create. But if you don’t have an actual RB1 then you’re stuck on checks and stick routes.

It’s wrong. Not just any guy will do. This has been proven repeatedly. We don’t just need a short yard back.

Ok, then we go back to square 1. FO has no clue how to build a Football team.

No there wasn't. The James one he led with his forearms in the chest of the jumping receiver but ended up sliding to the helmet (not a flag worthy penalty so it wasn't called), same with Bosa, they would have been questionable even for the shit crew last night.

When there’s no holes, even LT couldn’t run through a solid wall of linemen. Go back and see LT’s runs, he wasn’t touched until he was in the secondary.

One big difference is LT had LoNeal paving the way. Ek and the rest don’t have that.

Reality - lots of plays missed against both teams. Nothing more to say.

Not really. I just don't get enamored with meaningless stats. Let me guess you think Barry Sanders is the best RB ever? He doesn't even sniff the top 10 if you want to win meaningful games.

Actually, we’ve seen many teams have the second string RB step in for an injured 1st string RB and run all over the Chargers.

The common denominator is they have an OL which punches big holes in our DL.

Chargers need dominant trenches. Our OL this year still gets dominated. It’s not good enough in pass or run blocking. You think after ten years Telesco would have fixed one of this liabilities.

The stats having nothing to do with watching games and seeing that RBs are only as good as their lines. He had nowhere to run, so I find it hard to fault him rather than the play design and play of the offensive line.

Did you actually watch LT or just highlights? First couple years he didnt have neal and the line was garbage at times. The thing about him was he NEVER lost yards. He'd always at least get back to scrimmage. Ek cant hold LT's jock. It isnt close

Kelly does a better job at getting tough 3-4 yards.

Its actually kinda funny. Staley came to LA saying he didnt believe in this "Chargering" thing and he was going to change everything! Now he wears the most classic "Chargering" ever.
