Such an important point here. The very things we had to do to win—win at the line, and have a defense to slow down Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, etc.—are failures after two years and an unprecedented level of free agency. By his own metrics Staley has been a failure.

My 1st game 1964. Dad went to Vietnam in 1965 and took me to my first game at old Balboa stadium before he spilt. We even had a tailgater who was a popcorn vendor at the first Chargers game played at Balboa stadium and who lives in Ramona. He use to post at the UT (shit I forgot his posting handle)

funny story: back in 2004 when the chargers lost to the Jets in OT during the WC games, I had taken my daughter (she was in high school) and a couple of friends to san diego for the game. i was the ONLY hard core chargers fan in the group and was devastated after the loss (saturday night game). the next day we did touristy stuff, including some kind of old western town area (i don't remember what it was called). every hour or so i would have a PTSD flashback to the game and almost fall to the floor in pain, while the rest of our group was COMPLETELY UNFAZED THE WHOLE DAY.

it is actually nice to share the misery on this board - i had no help on touristy day back in 2004.
