      GENIOUS !!!
All you had to see was the way Staley had his CBs playing 10 yards off the LOS against the Chiefs in 3rd and less than 5 situations to know that he’s clueless. Now add this and JCJ was right not to be down with Staley’s system. Complete fail by the Chargers and Staley. Shame

Those JC stats since he rejoined Patriots are all you need to know about Staley.

Turns out JC really is a good CB who can still play and this complete disaster of a DC, Staley, didn’t know how to use him

He’s doing that to Derwin and the rest of the defense. Wake up Spanos and replace ASAP. He is ruining players.

He truly is ruining the players. HIs arrogance is on full display. He thinks he is the smartest guy in the room

I don't think he is using the talent in the right way obviously. Dumb it down, change it, do whatever - but a good coach, not a good talker, but a good "teacher of football" would throw out whatever is not working to figure out what is working

Give Mike McCoy and John Fox credit with Tebow - McCoy said they dumped everything halfway through the year to focus on the skills Tebow had
I wish Staley would do that - dump what is not working and go back to the basics

What makes you think he knows the basics? He had a chance to review every game JC played in for NE and he still couldn’t figure out how to use him.

First game back with Bellichik and he’s returned to all pro form

Staley doesn’t know his ass from an elbow.

Have you guys watched Staleys recent pressers? He constantly screws and unscrews the water bottle while taking sips.

Looks like Captain Queeg having a nervous breakdown while rolling his marbles on the witness stand.

                    Thats a fair point.

The only person with less experience was Joe Brady - during the interview process. And I didn't want Brady as he was OC for that LSU team that was stacked! Like Shania said "that don't impress me much"

Staley - one year as DC with a loaded Rams defense - also didn't want him-- too inexperienced. I want a coach who has been kicked in the gut a time or two and bounce back from it.

Staley is proving he was a lot of hot air

He is missing throws, reads, throwing without touch, at times hanging on to the ball too long, and seems to have lost his confidence. Bad line play, injured and or slow receivers, 3 offences in 4 years will do that.

Herbert is still a good young QB with loads of talent but we are seeing legitimate signs that his career trajectory could really go south if this franchise doesn't get their shit together and surround him with the right management, coaches and players pretty damn soon here.
I agree with this. And this is pure speculation, but those of you who remember Rivers just throwing ducks in the air late in his career may be having deja vu watching Herbert miss wide open throws as of late. Rivers had given up on Lynn, and honestly I think Herbert has given up on Staley. My guess is he just wants to hit the fast forward button on this season. He doesn’t appear mentally focused out there.

Enough with hiring assistant coaches. This franchise can't pick them for shit.

The ONLY time this franchise has had success is when they picked a former HC.

If they don't even try to TALK to Harbaugh this off-season it will be gross malfeasance of the highest degree.
