Look at Tua - 10 points (3 off a turnover at the 23 in which they gained 1 yard) against the Eagles.

Caleb Williams may not be the next coming after all:

I think the Herbie here talk today is frankly crazy. Are we the only 2 seeing him getting buried under an avalanche of defenders in the 2nd half?

If Tua was a Charger, he would have been cut by this crowd 2 years ago.

Tua, who led his offense to 10 points yesterday (3 of which came after his D recovered a fumble at the 23 yard line and the O gained 1 yard) - that guy? Amazing how playing a good defense can affect a QB's play. Herbert needs to step up but some of the stuff is just head scratchingly off base.

I never bought in on him, but I would be selling after the last 2 weeks for sure.

I wanted so badly to believe in Justin Herbert and the Chargers going forward. The sad truth is, we are going backward. Justin has been through 2 head coaches and 3 offensive coaches, and we continue to hope for better coaching. What is the common denominator to all these failures? Justin Herbert. You can only blame the messenger for too long before you need to look in the mirror.

Nope... Herbert is a product of the team and coaching he is given. The common denominator is Spanos and TT... Fire everyone, after this season they ALL need to be let go. TT, Staley, Moore, everyone...

This! They should have fired Telesco when they let Lynn go

Not keeping Steichen was a huge mistake by Staley
At least should have kept Pep - some continuity with Herbert

Staley is too arrogant to be a good head coach

Telesco is not skilled enough at Player evaluation

and the Spanii are just the most obtuse dense with zero business or football acument in the NFL

No one in the right mind is saying Herbert is not a good QB and we should get rid of him, we are still lucky to have him, but he is not playing well right now and the pressure he is under from defenses is clearly getting to him. He is missing throws, reads, throwing without touch, at times hanging on to the ball too long, and seems to have lost his confidence. Bad line play, injured and or slow receivers, 3 offences in 4 years will do that.

Herbert is still a good young QB with loads of talent but we are seeing legitimate signs that his career trajectory could really go south if this franchise doesn't get their shit together and surround him with the right management, coaches and players pretty damn soon here.

Your going to deflect Herbert's problems by bringing up Tua?

We didn't play the Eagles or the Bills. We have yet to beat a quality team, going back to last year's Dolphins game. In fact I don't think we've beaten any team with a
winning record going back to the same time period. All I know is that when the chips are down we go 3 and out on offense.

Staley should just admit he's in over his head and step aside. First half defense was an embarrassment, and it's been that way ever since he stepped in.

All of this should serve as a reminder of how this hire happened to begin with. Staley was a revenge hire, pure and simple. Spanos thought he was stealing Kroenke's secret weapon. In hindsight, there was never any doubt who Spanos wanted for the job.

You know who's laughing the most right now? Stan Kroenke. He played Spanos like a two dollar whore.

No im pointing out what should be obvious to everyone - if you play a good defense, even with the best skill players in the league and an innovative coach who can scheme the up, a QB can struggle. We didn’t play the Eagles or Bills, but we did play the Cowboys and Chiefs defenses, who are ranked 6th and 8th in the league vs 7th and 14th, ironically even harder.

                          Herbert isn’t broken.
