OK, but Telesco told us from the beginning that he wasn't ever likely to be a big FA player. He viewed FA as a supplement to the hard work of drafting. So no matter what everyone else thought, Telesco told us what he was going to do. That said, he shelled out monies this year that he couldn't have spent in past years because of the poor cap position he was left with. He signed three guys for $100M in 3 days. I'd call that pretty significant. Press reports also had him pursuing some other people that didn't pan out, so it's not like he wasn't willing to spend more. I guess some call that sitting on his ass. If he is pursuing every big name free agent, he is a moron. If he is prudently picking and choosing players based on skill evaluation, likely fit and market value, he's a moron. I'm always amazed by what I read this time of year on this board.

Well, sooner or later it all comes down to winning enough and getting enough shoots at the postseason... I remember how AJ was god for a while then he quickly crashed down on the rocks when the postseason and the division banner became... elusive.
