Besides a kicker, I think the Ogbonger would have the greatest impact on ST. He looks like a wrecking ball.

After that, probably DeLuca or Kampmoyer.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

      Goldwire.
      Length + anchor.
      Unique.
We do not play modern football.

Forrest Merrill gets a plug here: https://chargerswire.usatoday.com/20...training-camp/

I'm curious. Way strong NT fireplug, he has some good tape vs drafted OL.

He is stubby in height and length with a true lack of lateral agility.
He can push/control a single gap but his tackling range is non existent. He gets easily angle blocked and cannot disengage. Fehoko, Smith, and Broughton (on passing downs) have much more to offer as a rotational NT.

Merrill might make a decent goal line FB.

I'm seeing a DL who can tie up OL double teams in short yardage run situations. Seems like a useful skill. Jones, Tillery caved in more often than not last year.

I like Hunter Kampmoyer. I'm a Ducks fan so I've seen him and he's a tough blocker. I've seen him knock a DT on his rear with a slam block. He has good hands and he gets open. I think he can beat out Anderson for the #4 spot at TE. Because he blocks well he could be used at FB as well. One other reason - Herbert likes him. He was a frequent target of Herbert before he was injured.

I don't have strong feelings, but I think DeLuca is the answer. If you look at his strengths and weaknesses it pretty well lines up with what 2 high safety needs. The scouting report on him as that he is a quick decision maker and very instinctual. He makes plays. His weakness is lack of high end speed and athleticism. The two high look minimizes the need for top end speed and puts a premium on quick reaction and diagnosis. Add to that the lack of safety depth, and I think DeLuca is the UDFA who is most likely to make the team.

The brim of your hat must be wearing thin by now. Keep tipping it, though.

People like to feel appreciated.

I’ll see it when I believe it.

Not to piss in your Cheerios, but I’m a little hesitant to buy into a rookie’s “processing skills” when he’s coming from Charlotte College. NFL speed, especially in the secondary, is quantum-fast compared to what DeLuca’s used to.
