Pouncey actually played a full season for us and was pretty stellar at center when he was healthy. The only benefit that Bulaga has shown for us is that he helped recruit Linsley.

We added 5 new OL players in the 2021 offseason.
2022 offseason for OL improvements……
-3 pending FA in Aboushi, Norton, and Qberry. 1 or all 3 should be retained.
-cut Bulaga to get $11+ in Cap Space
-several pending quality FA on the IOL if we decide to build more depth but probably not
-deep OL draft class. Will draft 2/3 OL prospects to find ORT starter and more depth.
-goal to push Pipkins to the PS/off 53-roster
-Will be 9-10 deep with quality, capable, and physical OL talent
-trade Pip for proverbial ham sandwich

This would work for me. Only 1 high paid player in Linsley, 2 moderate vets in Feiler and Aboushi with his 2 year extension, 1 low priced vet in Norton, and 5 on rookie contracts.

NFL.com has Penning slotted in the top 10, so not sure we'd get a shot at him. But, u never know, and good to start talking about prospects...

The Panthers couldn't quite get the win on the road against Iowa State to start the season, but Penning verified himself worthy of an early-round selection. His widely anticipated matchup against edge rusher Will McDonald IV was one-sided, as the tackle dominated the lean pass rusher. Penning also finished blocks regularly and cleaned up piles, displaying the nasty attitude offensive line coaches love. His performance last week in UNI's win over Sacramento State was interesting; he usually threw his man to the ground or ended up on the ground himself after lunging to his man or tripping over someone's feet. NFL coaches will want him to play a bit more under control.

Any other free agent WR's available next season? We can pay MW or similar talent since Palmer is still in his rookie contract. Same with Hill probably. Guyton has a cheap contract.

Just need that legit WR threat opposite of KA. We can afford it.

Bulaga missing a bunch of time in 2020 might have cost us a game or two, which in turn left us picking at 13, which is how we got Slater. So by my calculation, he played a role in getting Linsley and Slater.
