I see a general need for high talent at OL.

This guy pinned Wirfs in Iowa HS wrestling competition.
No, and I’ll tell you why.

    1. This draft is deep at a few positions: CB, edge, and OG. I think a starting caliber guard can be found in R2-R4.

    2. RT is our biggest hole, so I’d try to fill it in the first, if possible.

    3. We have Aboushi and Feiler at OG. Plus Jaimes in the wings.

    4. Guards are easier to find in FA than tackles.

    5. Honestly, I see Linderbaum as a C, but we’re already paying Linsley the big bucks. I want our R1 pick to contribute immediately.

On the bright side, Norton hasn't allowed a sack since week 1...

Yeah, but how many pressures in week 2? Whatever the # was, it was unacceptable. Imagine, just imagine, having another Slater on the right. Can you see it?

What Staley says about what he's doing with his scheme is fine and dandy. But you're going to have to stop the run, especially when you're playing teams that are more of a running team on offense. Another thing, you can't rely on turnovers to bail you out. You're not going to be getting turnovers all the time. You're not always going to win some games the same way as you did in previous games. Every game is going to be different.

Justin Jones is overrated and stuff like he did in the Washington game where he got away with a penalty and didn't get called for it worries me. I do think he's a good run stopper and is a hard worker. Tillery is our best pass rusher in the middle. After him, the interior lacks pass rushers. Tillery has pass rush ability, but he is bad at run stopping. Jones is a good run defender, but he is weak at pass rushing. The weakness of Jones and Tillery trade off. What the team needs is to mitigate the issues that are on the roster. My stance is; we have plenty of capable run defenders in the middle. Pass rushers in the middle, not so much.

The last time we had a good pass rusher on the interior was Philon and Liuget. Philon is with the Raiders and he is doing well with them.

Atkins is in his 30s now. Maybe a player like him and younger would be better. This team's defense will be scary when they can get players like a Fletcher Cox or Deforest Buckner in interior to compliment Bosa and the other edge rushers.
That said, in your view, why did Staley let Broughton go, and sign Banks ?

          Curious for your takes.

            Feiler to ORT ?
Round 1 BPA and PON must both be considered.

Storm gave up 9 pressures vs the cowboys and 2 vs the chiefs.

If Norton can be solid while Bulaga is healing up, he will have earned a contract for 2022. If not I’d be looking for post draft veteran cuts for a swing OT.
ORT is a need in 2022. I like early in the draft to acquire our new OT. A second pick used on a developmental OT prospect late is a good move as well.

There are quite a few 2022 OT prospects that can fill our ORT need.
We’re just going to have to live with Norton or make a trade for this season.

I like Feiler right where he’s at.

Of course if there’s no quality RT available when we draft in R1 then we either trade or draft another position. But TT should do everything he can to target BPA at PON. It’s entirely possible. See the last draft.

We are approaching a complete roster, but there are still holes. RT is the biggest one.

Hopefully a solid OT or D-line is there for us in round 1

I’ll take either, but the tie breaker goes to the RT option. R2 would then go to DL.

If Rivers were our QB he would have given up around 4 already.
