A good friend of mine I met the day I moved to Panama is originally from Oregon and has a brother who is the Agronomist at the course hosting the U.S. OPEN. He is there with his young family for the tournament.

I like to pick a couple of +30:1 long shots....I won with Kaymer last year.

This year I like:

Byeong Hun An (low rest of world as well at 4:1)
Stenson
Reed
Horschel
Walker

I am also using these guys in head to head match ups as well....should be a fun and wild tournament.

Both good choices. I would love Phil to get the career grand slam and he has the length and creativity for this course.

I didn't say he would win, just that I always pull for those 2 guys.

I think they have said that this course plays more like a links style. I'm hearing that the players are complaining that the fairways are really hard. Could make the short game a little tougher if its tough to get a divot with your wedges.

I'm hearing a links/hybrid. They are saying you can't just run the ball up on some of these greens like you can in the UK.....you have to fly the ball to the hole and that is a problem with the high winds..should be interesting can't wait to get home and see the highlights

They showed a young guy yesterday during a practice round bouncing a golf ball off of the fairway like it was a basketball court...insane

Golfers complaining about the track goes back a ways.

Jack Nicholas use to say that you do not have to beat 80% of the field who complain about the course, said they already lost. It's the 20% who have there head right you need to beat in order to win.
