This is a very tough team to come back against with their pass rush and running game.

Like against Dallas, our DL was physically overmatched by a top tier OL. This needs to be fixed at some point. Tillery and Covington should be rotational players, not starters. Guys like Gaziano are replacement level players. These are going to be some ugly PFF grades. Jones will help as he's our most physical DL. I really like the idea of sending a late pick for Brockers.

Browns had a gameplan with lots of 13 personnel. We didn't have an answer on D (gameplan wise or players wise) until we could force them into passing situations. Most of their big passes came on play action or some such. If we can get a better start they have to pass more early.

BAL does not have the same quality at OL but they do have some big boys.

It was a factor. It was also a factor in us being unprepared for 13 personnel imo.

What does that mean (13 personnel)?

Also, Norton could be a decent to good RT if he adds 20+ lbs of muscle. Get in the gym with Slater or spend the offseason with Manyweather.

Here's how it works: Barring nontraditional formations, an offense lines up with five linemen and a quarterback. That leaves five "available" spots on any given play, and those spots will be manned by running backs, tight ends and wide receivers.

Each personnel grouping is named with two numbers. The first number is the number of running backs, and the second is the number of tight ends.
You can't predict the future, but you can get a sense of it. Looking at how an offense lines up—which players are on the field and where they are in the formation—provides clues that give defenses and viewers a sense of what's to come...

It was Asante Samuel Jr’s worst game yet, as he allowed five receptions on five targets for 68 yards and a touchdown.

                        • Michael Brockers, DT, Detroit Lions: The Lions have entered the post-Matthew Stafford era 0-4, so it's time for them to look toward 2022, and Brockers could be a veteran that NFL teams look at to add to their defensive line. The 30-year-old could see the Lions fetch a late pick in return.

Brockers had five sacks last season on a Los Angeles Rams team that made the playoffs and he does have a sack with the Lions through four games. Furthermore, after being close to the Lombardi trophy in LA, Brockers would likely want to go back on a team contending for a Super Bowl at this stage in his career.

A trade for Brockers could be a very good idea, the more I think about it.
                        • He was active for the Rams playoff run last season. So Staley has worked with him.
                        • He plays a 3-4 DE, who would pair nicely with Jones, when Jones comes back.
                        • Lions would fill his spot with 2nd round pick Levi Onwuzurike, and could use draft capitol.
                        • Time for Tommy T to step up and make a mid-season move.
                        • Article says a late pick, how much are we willing to give and what's he worth?

A pick for DE Brockers to help shore up the D-line and stop the run.

                        What say you TPB?

Not surprising for a rookie CB. Remember Staleys comment about how he was out of position on his first interception which was the only reason he got it.
