    Say it is so...

    San Diego...

I woke up hit 206 on my TV. Watching espn they had a short segment on a vote in San Diego. The asked which is more imported Comic con OR the Chargers. 60% for comic con... :facepalm1:

    Wow.

I guess if the people of San Diego don't want them then they'll be as good as gone. What a bummer! :que:

Only 60% in favor for Comic-Con with the way the Chargers have been treating the fans and the city like dirt is pretty damn good IMO. Especially with Comic-Con happening this week, it's on everyone's mind right now.

That percentage can swing in favor the other way very quickly depending on what happens. Still, the Chargers have a lot of PR work to do, if they ultimately want to stay.

How have the City and Fans been treating the Chargers the past decade? You could see this day coming years back.

What have the fans done to the Chargers besides give them money and support? All to get teased with a Super Bowl caliber team just to implode again like they did during the Ross-Beathard era?

How many 'black-outs' have there been since the Spani first floated the new stadium idea?

I don't care what has happened in the past ten years. What matters is what's happening now. The City and County are now ready to step up and get a deal done and now the Chargers don't want to listen.

So despite the Chargers pissing a lot of fans/residents off right now, they're only slightly behind Comic-Con on that poll question. I think that's actually a good sign for the Chargers.

So what? The fans were there. Not our fault the Chargers have a shitty PR department, an owner who treats the fans like peasants, and a dysfunctional (being kind here) management style that fulfills the prophecy you want to heap upon the fans. Just fucking win (something the Chargers have historically failed at under the Spanos watch) and it solves everything.

Usually it's the entity asking for money that is supposed to try make sure the entity that is giving the money is happy. Not the other way around.
                    Prediction:
                    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Not to mention there are 1500 obstructed seats preventing sellouts in most of those blackout games. If you sit in one of those seats, chances are you never will again.

So if they get this deal done and build a new stadium, the games will be sold out and the seats won't be filled with opposing teams' fans? That would be nice. I don't see it happening.
