I didn't say they were a good team nor did anyone else so not sure why you are saying that. Yes we still have a ways to go but I like being 7-5 than what we were last year after 12 games which I believe was 3-9.

We aren't a Superbowl contender imo. We need to be more consistant.
If you would listen to Staley's post game videos you would get an idea of what they plnnned. What worked k what didn't. He is very candid and a great listen.

Still believe barring injuries we will continue to get better and do different things but when we score, it's weird to see you say Ekeler didn't deserve to score and wanted to see someone we score.

Who the fuck cares who scored,..... We scored is the point. You don't stop feeding the ball to your best guys because they fumbled or dropped a ball.

And maybe you haven't seen it.... We lead the league in passes 40+ yards so your comment isn't valid.

Like I said, some people are never happy. I mean shit we should of scored 50 instead of 41. We got four turnovers and a defensive TD but fuck we gave up two fumbles and only won by 19.

It is tough when some posters have a narrative and the team does not cooperate with said narrative. In those cases those posters have to just make shit up to whine and complain about.

I missed the opening return by Roberts and when I sat down we were on the 40yd line. I was surprised and saw the replay later. Roberts is the real deal and when he gets around the corner he has a extra gear. Keep giving Herbert plus field position and he will destroy defenses.

Yeah I did. I saw Palmer outrun his man and a sure TD underthrown by Herbert unfortunately, and so Palmer had to adjust and try to catch it. The bigger question is did you? Or are you talking out of your ass like you always do? Because it sure sounds like the latter right now.

Palmer had one step on his man. Again, he should have caught the ball. There is no excuse for not catching the ball and allowing the ball to be intercepted. That was terrible on his part.

I don’t understand what’s there to be so happy and ecstatic about? I’m happy we won. I’d rather they have won than lost. But I’m not jumping up and down because we beat a team that’s known for beating themselves (much like Minnesota much Chargers somehow managed to out Charger them for a loss). Did you watch the full game? Not just the end, but the full game from the dominant 1st qtr through the choke in the 2nd and 3rd till putting them away in the 4th. I find it hard to believe if you actually watched the full thing, you’re coming away super stoked from that.

If the Chargers played Detroit next week and won but played really sloppy while winning, yeah I’m not super stoked about that either.

Beating the Chiefs, Eagles, Steelers (even with the Chargers almost chargering that game away) and losing a super close game to an elite Cowboys team is all more impressive to me than this win or scrapping by to beat teams like Washington.

If the Chargers played the way they did today against any top 4 team in the conference, they would lose in similar fashion like they did the Ravens game…what was that a 30 or 40 pt loss or something?

I don’t have a problem with Staley. His hire in Lombardi is a bad choice because I still don’t think his play designs bring out the most in Herbert. The team will get better under Staley. But in order to become a title contender, they still need to fire that sorry excuse of a football exec Tom Telesco because this team still has massive holes on both ends that coaching can’t fix.

Right now the ceiling of this team is wild card game. Still an improvement over last couple years. But hopefully this doesn’t extend Telesco’s tenure by any one bit and he’s canned as soon as January or February before he’s able to fuck up another draft and free agency period.

We were able to go deep in the first half because the Bengals decided to load up on the box, and because Herbert was well protected. In the 2nd half, the Bengals adjusted to more two shell looks and Herbert also got sacked 4 times as the protection broke down. That’s why you’ll see Lombardi go away from what was “working.” The other teams adjust too.

He basically turned the game in our favor today

But before his right place right time luck on the scoop and score, he was being roasted EVERYwhere in coverage. We cannot do 2022 with Campbell and Davis (to a lesser degree) playing meaningful minutes. With all of the late round picks we have I could see us taking 3 to 4 CB's and hoping for a couple of hits. FA too.......
