Pretty clear on the game highlights.
I'm sure there was some kind of contact...it was a tough, contested catch and a great play by Awuzie...if Herbie leads Palmer by just a yard more, I think it's a catch...

Ekeler's 2nd fumble was a bad call.....big break for the Bengals.

But I’m not jumping up and down because we beat a team that’s known for beating themselves (much like Minnesota much Chargers somehow managed to out Charger them for a loss). Did you watch the full game? Not just the end, but the full game from the dominant 1st qtr through the choke in the 2nd and 3rd till putting them away in the 4th. I find it hard to believe if you actually watched the full thing, you’re coming away super stoked from that.

If the Chargers played Detroit next week and won but played really sloppy while winning, yeah I’m not super stoked about that either.

Beating the Chiefs, Eagles, Steelers (even with the Chargers almost chargering that game away) and losing a super close game to an elite Cowboys team is all more impressive to me than this win or scrapping by to beat teams like Washington.

If the Chargers played the way they did today against any top 4 team in the conference, they would lose in similar fashion like they did the Ravens game…what was that a 30 or 40 pt loss or something?

I don’t have a problem with Staley. His hire in Lombardi is a bad choice because I still don’t think his play designs bring out the most in Herbert. The team will get better under Staley. But in order to become a title contender, they still need to fire that sorry excuse of a football exec Tom Telesco because this team still has massive holes on both ends that coaching can’t fix.

Right now the ceiling of this team is wild card game. Still an improvement over last couple years. But hopefully this doesn’t extend Telesco’s tenure by any one bit and he’s canned as soon as January or February before he’s able to fuck up another draft and free agency period.
Happy and ecstatic...... Hmmm, I never said either of those. Those are your words not mine. A wildcard team is the most I expected this year. What did you expect? Seems you expected us to go undefeated.

Yes I watched the whole game. Other teams make plays too unless you were expecting a shutout. They had a better record than us at home.
I don't know, all I know is we made more plays than they did and had a season high in sacks and a defensive TD and that still isn't good enough for you? It's the NFL, anybody can win on any given day.

Defense still not good on third down but turnovers and sacks helped in that regard.

Don't know what to tell you..... , Telesco isn't going anywhere, anytime soon til Staley fails. Will you hope for that?

With his left, Awuzie hooked the left hand of Palmer and moved it leftward, before the ball arrived.
          It was more than contact.

Hell has a better chance of freezing over than that ever happening.

Also watching it again, Palmer had a good 5 steps ahead of the CB. It was a TD if Herbert threw it farther.

We won a road game by 19 points against a team that would be in the playoffs if they started today. Yes I’m happy.

                  What are you talking about?

The replay clearly shows Palmer with both hands on the ball after the effect of the minor contact just above the inside of Palmer's elbow, not anywhere near his hand as you stated. That needs to be a catch every time. The play was barely contested by the defender. That is pretty close to being a straight drop by Palmer into the defender's hands.

Except for the 2 fumbles we killed them. It was infuriating in the middle though.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                    Let’s win one for Mack.

Watching the highlights again, and it was fine what he did. He kept running at full speed and I never felt the ball was in danger.

5 Steps?! That assertion is ridiculous. He was behind him by a step, maybe two before the defender slightly changes his direction and begins to close the gap. The separation is nowhere near Guyton's amount of separation on the long pass to him.

The ball was not a perfect throw, but Palmer should have caught the ball. There is zero doubt about that. Palmer was very soft on that play--kind of the anti-Mike Williams.

Right. Two fumbles and dropped long passes by Palmer and Parham prevented this game from being an absolute 50 and possibly even 60 burger blowout win for us.
