If someone like Chenal is there in the 3rd you have to consider it but I don't think off ball LB is as valuable as it used to be.

I hear La'el Collins may be cut by the Cowboys. I haven't really followed what he has done the last couple of years. Should we take a shot at him if he gets released?

        2. interior pass rusher (Tillery not good enough) * dunno, not sure Tillery isn't just about perfect w/the two FAs as starters ??
        3. 2nd rb * D'Ernest Johnson got tendered a right of first refusal tender, which pretty much takes him out of consideration.... Ronald Jones pls, and the sooner the better
        4. depth at corner * @this point, prolly draft rather than in FA
        5. impact inside linebacker * Tranquill is a FA in 2023.... draft looks good @ILB for '023 (Noah Sewell pls).... we've made up for the losses of Mel and Hayward, but not Denzel yet (ps. Drue is a minimal cap hit tho, if cut this year)
        6. depth at edge * prolly draft rather than FA ??
        =======================
        7. pass receiving tight end * prolly draft rather than in FA
        8. backup center * Qberry sticks around/is resigned ??
        9. RG * has anyone confirmed whether we have our second this year ?? and don't we want to sign Aboushi @RG ?? would guess that Scho is coming back as well ??
        10. depth at safety * draft rather than FA me thinx
personally, first order of biz is to sign a FA RB.

did mention that wouldn't be surprised to see none of the four resigned, and.... still surprised @the likelihood of how few of our own are going to be resigned.... Oday, Scho, Chase, Overton, Qberry

the other guy/position that I would still be on the lookout for is OJ Howard @TE.

5/11 Fuaga, 37 Kamari Lassiter, 40 Sinnott, 67 Bralen Trice, 69 Cedric Gray, 105 Jaylen Wright, 110 Braelon Allen, 140 Joe Milton, 181 Khristian Boyd, Tylan Grable, 225 Daijun Edwards, 253 Miyan Williams

So at the end of the day, we still need:

RG, unless Jaimes is the guy
RT, unless Pip is the guy
Backup RB, unless JJ is still the guy

Every other position on O has a returning player (even some backups).

          P, no one signed.

Every position on D has a new or returning starter (even some backups).

Just weird thinking about it like this, including that there’s still some cap space left to fill one or more of the above listed positions before the draft. I can really see a talent like Jameson Williams being the pick at 17 if he slips, we won’t be picking that high again in the foreseeable future, might as well hit that. If TT brings in even one OL FA starter, just wow and say hello to the future in April.

Someone just posted a graph on interior linemen pass rush win rate / double teams faced: i'll try to find it.
Tillery had a below average win rate and faced the fewest double teams in that group.

That is how i remember it when i focused on him.

Not to bang on you Beach....but I would rarely spend money on a FA RB, unless it was a savvy swiss army blade type like Ekelor to complete the package...and we have that, plus Jackson....I would look to the middle rounds for young legs and stout body to soak up some reps between the tackles. JMO.
              Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Sad and almost taboo to talk about, but KA is getting up there...and getting expensive. A good RT prospect at 17 would be hard to pass up....but so would Wilson, Olave, and Jamison, all nice KA succesors....

But on the other hand, we still have time...we have a good group now, and if we go RT, there is always next years first rounder....nevermind this years deep class, which may see a talented but raw prospect hanging around in the middle rounds.

For me, the tough choice at 17 wouldnt be between Penning and a WR....it would be Penning vs Dean. Complete the offense...or complete the defense? Murray is a question mark, White is probably gone, and Tranquil is made of glass...on the other hand, if Aboushi doesnt return well from injury, and all we have at RT is Pip and Storm, that whole right side is also questionable...actually, I cant remember if Ab is under contract, or if that was a one year deal....

Not to be greedy, but if we can squeak out a solid place holder at RT, RG, or LB, that could be huge going into the draft. Still, as is, on paper....great offseason so far.

                    Justin Jackson is a FA.

Its still not the 'new year', but I do hope they address depth of talent with what they have left in budget. I think the LB corps is light, really need Murray to step up. I'd like an upgrade to Kyzir White. What's good is that LBs can be found in the draft and the street, hopefully not a huge cap hit, and not too old. Our 2nd team DBs were not good either.

I think 1st round is BPA, except QB, RB and specialists, and probably not interior linemen.
