    4700 calories? That’s a #8 combo plate I believe.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Mishawaka native Zander Horvath is going through that change. He needs to go from having a running backs body to transforming into a fullback. That is about a 20-pound difference.

Chargers general manager Tom Telesco mentioned during the press conference after the draft that Horvath hadn't taken a snap at fullback.

"He was basically [former NFL FB] Mike Alstott there," Telesco said.

Alstott is whom Horvath models his game after. The former NFL fullback was also told to change positions after playing running back at Purdue. He was known as a battering ram that was elusive, so he had many ways of gaining extra yards.

Horvath's game looks similar to Alstott's in college. Now it is about being able to keep his running back skills while playing in a fullback's body.

"Really good size," Telesco said. "Tough, rugged, but a good athlete because part of that job is that you have to be on special teams. Come in and compete for a job."
Confirmation that he is competing at FB not RB.

Look at those muscles in Zander’s legs. There’s a man that doesn’t skip leg day. I don’t see Nabor’s beating him out for a job.

If he can throw half-way decent, maybe hes in play for the infamous, "Taysom-role" for Lombo.
            G-Ro knows.

That is what i expected, though I have hope he might run the ball a bit more often than our last several FB, who were not particularly threatening as runners. And yeah to next poster - those legs are pumped

If Nabers is going to get cut, who will help Herb on victory briskets? Daniels should so we can get our money’s worth

Nabers multiple trips to the practice squad, and being added to the 53 man roster, then being cut and re-signed to the practice squad after he cleared waivers...

Pretty evident he was never going to be a long term solution in the Chargers' offensive backfield. Still, Zander has something to prove in order to earn a roster spot, and it goes beyond whatever skills he possesses as a barbecue chef.

We're all hoping that Horvath can be another Mike Alstott. He's athletic, very reliable as a receiver, and runs with aggression, so we can be forgiven for making early comparisons. But he'll be one of the most interesting stories in camp, IMO. I'm really curious to see what he can do. Zander will be helped by the fact that defenses will prioritize covering Mike W., Keenan, Everett, Parham and Palmer over *him*.... although, that's *if* he makes that final cut.

I suspect that he will. He's certainly more highly credentialed as an incoming rookie than Nabors was.

Tito is a pro level baker. Somebody said they were very good at smoked brisket. I think that was Tito also.

Yep...Horvath definitely has a leg up on Nabors...
