Hicks as a second signee but not the only signee

I am not sharp enough to know players by their last name only. Can you give me first names as well? I understand the want for brevity, but I appreciate clarity to a much greater extent. Thanks.

BJ Hill - currently with the Bengals and they have plenty of cap space so I am not sure he will hit free agency. Though pairing him with his old college teammate Justin Jones would be nice
Sebastian Joseph-Day (or is it Day-Joseph) - Rams have a bit of cap issues on the surface but they seem to always figure out how to get the players back they want

These are my top two targets for DT. Hicks is a good name for depth too

I blew through that list as, IMO, there were names on this list, following the force of nature, that is Akiem Hicks.

Both. Nothing wrong with upgrading both. We have the resources.

Defense allowed 20 or more in 14 games. 30 or more in 6 games. Bottom 5 D.

I lean toward giving D the most love. I agree that we shouldn't let the O slip back.

PFFs top ten Ds at the end of regular season play - not cumulative, but the best Ds heading into the playoffs, in order:

Bills
Patriots
Cowboys
Saints
Donkeys
Cards
Bucs
Chiefs
Rams
Panthers

Three teams didn’t even make the playoffs, five more have gotten bounced - three this past weekend, by Os that slated them late. Only Rams and Chiefs reman from that list, top five Os both.

D used to win championships, now it gets you to the dance. But you have to have crazy over the top O players who deliver late in the game. We do not, only Ekeler is that but he usually is too pooped to be a late game champion. MW is close but disappears.

I think even if we get that top ten D, if we don’t bring in at least one more uber skill player on O, we will be a bounced from the playoffs team at some point along the way. Gotta upgrade both sides of the LOS.

I can't believe I'm reading that some of you want to keep Bulaga but let Mdub go. Bulaga has spent almost his entire two years on IR. Williams has been a very productive WR. You want Bulaga? May as well sign me! I think I saw Bulaga at hospice care the other day. lol

I think Sean Payton is going to take a year, go work for Fox, make a nice bit of cash - for some easy work - meaning fly Friday, watch practice, game on Sundays and a year from now, if Mike McCarthy has another let down year, Jerrah is going to back up the Brinks trunk and Sean Payton will be saying "partners" with how much money he is going to get
