If we lose MW , WR becomes an issue. Likely drafting one early.

Tough to pin point things til after FA',cy. It's going to be one of the most important free agencys for us in a long time because we have many holes and need to get Staley's type of guys and the draft won't fill them all.

Is the talent there at #17. I see the DB class as better this draft than receiver. Too many speedy but fragile receivers in this draft. If there's something decent in the second round maybe draft there?

Allen Robinson's 2021 stats scares me.

We play KC 2 per year, we need to maintain at the very least the current WRs level of talent from 2021.

The only thing that makes me think he would come here is that he is very good friends with Allen. Also, what WR would not want to come play with Herbert if that was the deciding factor?

Because he said he liked playing with Carr at Fresno st and they are also friends. Maybe better friends than he is with Keenan.

And,... The Raiders made the playoffs. Perhaps he thinks he can make them even better.

I hope not but that's what he said when asked about his future.

My reason for us not signing him imo is Dean won't spend 25 mil for him and Telesco likes to sign own and MW would be cheaper and he fits our team.

I just don't see him leaving as MW said he doesn't like change and hopes he is back :shrug:

The salary space is narrowly constrained. Owning an NFL franchise means you're spending 200M+ on players every year. Just a matter of where.

If you could trade Adams for Allen - thats one thing
But this isn't that scenario - you would have to sign Adams and take a cap hit to trade Keenan Allen or release him
Thats pretty risky.

As much as I think Adams would help the team - I am good keeping KA13, bringing back MW81 on a long term deal (just don't franchise him) -and figuring out how to find a CB1, RT, IDL depth and a RB.

NOw, if you do not sign Mike Williams and free agency happens - than you sure as hell better be calling Davante Adams

I don’t believe we’ll sign Adams and trade KA, just saying that straight up roster revision is a no brainer imo. Adams > KA imo. Its an opinion.

I agree with that. I haven't seen the entire list of free agents but Adams might be the best FA available, regardless of position.
