The more you watch Zion, the more you have to love how he creates so much space because he has great initial footwork. Whether it is run blocking or pass blocking, he gets defenders turned and out of the way so they are a complete non-factor.

I know some draft gurus didn't like him as much as Zach Martin or Quentin Nelson, and he is not the mauler they are, but he is so efficient and makes his fits so well, that I think he is just as good as those guys, just not as flashy with the pancakes and driving guys way off the ball.

Solid draft choice. Can't go wrong with making sure the OL is the best it can be.

Chargers have some draft picks still - mostly later rounds but what the heck

Plus a bit of cap space to still get some veteran depth: Hicks for DL, Morgan Fox for more the DE rusher; OT depth - so in good shape

I would tend to agree. In fact, I can see any of the other PONs (RB, WR, DL, CB, S) taken there. Whatever prospect grades out the highest, at any of those positions.
