FUdean was the prez and ceo. He’s the reason why San Diego doesn’t have a football ball team. He’s since given control to Jonny boy. Who doesn’t have a lick of experience running a business let alone a football team. Look no further if you want to figure out what is wrong with your teamOriginally posted by FSPANOS View PostIt will never happen. Also, Dean is not the owner, there are 4 elderly sibling owners who fight over money. Which is why, it will always be Mike McCoy ala Brandon Staley level HC. As soon as, you accept this you will be free.
Cheers

John Boy couldn't sell water in the summer in Death Valley and Dean isn't much better
Dean was gifted the team - zero business acumen
If they do not fire Telesco and Staley today - they just are not in this to win.

Most here know I'm biased and a FUdean hater so I'll preface this with "I'm only asking because I'm curious how the move from my hometown is working out for the FUdeans"
dean made it clear one of the reasons he moved the team was to build a bigger fan base. How has that worked out? What are the attendance numbers compared to the Murph? I know they had to play in the soccer stadium a few years, how has that impacted the bottom line? Did they lose money? I know the value of the team has probably increased by a couple of billion but how does that compare to other teams?

Dean will have to fire John.
He won't do it.
Nothing will change until John is gone.
Since Marty was fired in 2006, this team and organization has been rudderless.
John Spanos took over as director of college scouting in 2008. Since then, the entire organization has slid downhill."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

If he did - John would be "promoted" in title but not responsibility
Telesco for sure would have been fired by now
The most successful GM/HC combo was Butler/Marty or AJ/Marty - and yet he hasn't figured that out. You are right about John Boy - since 2008

Butler/Marty AJ/Marty, our most successful?! Do you actually believe that? How many Playoff wins did we have with that Combo? John Spanos has zero credibility, I thought how he opened up the press conference when Staley was hired was the most ridiculous display ever!Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I meant in the Spanos era - since Alex or Dean took over. I know the one year they went to the Super Bowl but the best TEAM was that 2006 team. That thing was loadedOriginally posted by electricgold View Post

I would probably say since Drew Brees was the superior QB over Rivers when it was all said and done the 2005 team had the most talent! We just had a head coach that failed to make the post season that year and was known for folding in the playoffs and was ultimately fired for this!Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I actually dont think Brees was more talented. He just threw the ball a ton more . Rivers had over 600 attempts once. Brees had over 600attempts 9 times.Originally posted by electricgold View Post

Their numbers of YPA were about the same, he just had more attempts and his numbers looked bigger. Actually for their career, Rivers YPA was higher (7.8 to 7.6)
Rivers was a damn good QB and we (Spanos)wasted his career.

And right now, the Spanii are doing the same thing to Herbert. Incompetent GM, inferior coaching staffs.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

As I said in another thread, the main reason I want Telesco and Staley fired today - its not about getting a jump on the hiring process as I think there are new rules of when you can interview coaches in the playoffs - its that if they are still in the building, maybe they go 4-2 or something and Spanos thinks "well, thats good enough to keep them around." Every day they are in the building is one more day they can try to keep their job.
I truly have no reason why Telesco would be given another chance after his decisions this past Spring. He pushed his chips in the center and it didn't work. I just truly wish they had a video camera set up to discuss the behind the scenes of whether to keep or fire Telesco and they haven't done it. He is not all of the sudden going to be competent.
