We need to stop locking our QB in the pocket, and limiting him to checkdowns other teams are wanting him to make. Take the scrambling and off script plays out of Josh Allen and Mahomes' games, and they arent near the QBs....we need that same element in this offense, and Herbert has the ability.
Having Herbert scramble more will lead to more injury risks unfortunately. He’s safest navigating the pocket.

I know its sort of a running joke in here but I think Palmer and BANDY could really prove their worth in this game! Both players are capable and able to make big plays and this would be the perfect game to display this.

its very possible we get beat or crushed sunday morning..... and go on a long losing streak that may or may not end when we play the raiders..... our defense cannot stop anything..... we are lucky to cause one punt per game..... our offense gets worse every single week...... this week with no receivers and this team only giving ball to Ekler, is going to be a disaster unless defense shuts out ATL.... lol

This is a badly coached team...... bad training, which leads to injuries and not being able to tackle..... and horrible horrible play calling.... we rush plays that should be taking time with..... we refuse to use our 240 lb FB in short yardage situations..... instead we keep beating up little Ekler...... how many games can we go with only handing off to Ekler and dumping off passes to Ekler???? he is being covered e=heavily on most of those plays......

coach....here's a hint that your metrics wont show.... opponents defenses actually watch your boring film!!!! and know all they have to do is cover Ekler!!!!

move Ekler out to the slot and start Spiller at RB...... at least we will have 2 to 3 usable players if we count Everett...... otherwise i dont see how we score.... Ekler is good but he is not D. Henry...... yet our coaches stupidly use him that way......

There is no way Telesco is going anywhere. He is exactly what John wants in a GM, which is a yes man.

John was the head of scouting before nepotism moved him to the top spot in regards to player selection. John thinks he knows how to pick players and construct a team and has influenced every single decision Telesco has made.

Replacing Telesco would be John admitting he shouldn’t be making player decisions and a willingness to let a new GM make those decisions. That ain’t happening.

Telesco is just an empty sack representing John’s decisions.

Lots and lots of speculation here about the inner workings of the front office...

I like your Ekeler/Spiller strategy but disagree the defense sucks. Other than Bosa and Rumph, our defense is largely intact and has played well except for a few big plays here and there.

The defense is still capable of keeping Falcons in check but the question is can the offense put up any points without Allen and Williams. Probably could with Sean Payton but with Lombardi? I think no ffin way.

I respectfully...and I mean that....disagree. Cant play scared if you wanna win....he can be smart about it, slide or give himself up...but there are yards and first downs to be had there...hell, probably safer out in space vs a db, than having 300 pound lineman falling on him and his ribs...
The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

It’s not speculation when you look at the facts.

When the GM reported to Dean, Dean let the GM, like Beathard, Butler, and AJ call the shots. Dean had no other experience in the organization and he relied on experienced professionals.

Meanwhile, Dean installed John in the scouting department where he ascended to the top spot. As top dog in scouting, you sure as hell believe you are qualified to make player recruiting decisions.

When Dean stepped aside from having the GM report to him, he gave that responsibility of God to John. Telesco reports to John and there is no doubt he is not hands off like Dean because John was “trained” in the organization to think he knows what he is doing via his internship in scouting….which by the way were years and years of lousy drafts.

Telesco is Just an empty sack that does whatever John wants him to do. There is no way John would fire Telesco and bring in a GM who wants total control like the majority of them in the NFL.

Herbert did indeed scramble out of the pocket before he injured his ribs. Since he injured them he has been less mobile.

I wonder if that’s by design to reduce stress on his injured ribs.

It’s a much simpler throw with less body contortion from the pocket as opposed to throwing on the run.

It's hard to say the team does a lot right given the overall lack of success they have had but again, since nobody here has any insight into how decisions are actually made this is idle speculation.

That’s what I thought too but then they called that fail mary at the end of regulation against Denver where he got leveled.
