I know its sort of a running joke in here but I think Palmer and BANDY could really prove their worth in this game! Both players are capable and able to make big plays and this would be the perfect game to display this.

It's hard to say the team does a lot right given the overall lack of success they have had but again, since nobody here has any insight into how decisions are actually made this is idle speculation.

Most of what we throw around here is either opinion or speculation. I'd say opinion/speculation account for the 80% of what's posted. And that's OK with me.

But in regards to the FO and coaching, there does seem to be a pattern of hiring, if not 'yes' men, then 'company' men to run the FO and team. Guys who just march to the beat of ownership's drum, putting out touchy feely pressers and vowing to "do better".

The list of seemingly milquetoasty head coaches we've paraded out there: Norv, McCoy, Lynn, and now Staley, would also seem to point to the notion that strong candidates need not apply. As for Telesco, it would appear - by the team's abysmal record during his tenure - that he is being kept around for something other than what he was supposedly hired to do, i.e., build a winner.

So I don't think it's too much of a stretch to conclude that he's more a bobbing head doll than a strong GM figure. Whether the dynamic is unfolding exactly as Riverwalk describes is irrelevant. Something isn't working and all signs point to the ownership and their hiring philosophy.

lol.....sad par is Chargers are close to worst in NFL at giving up over 30 points..... nearly worst at giving up 175 ypg rushingf.....nearly last in many othert categories and we are scoring less and less each week.....

if you have great coaches, your team should bet better and better each week.... even if team is bad.... bad coaches....team gets worse each week even when playing bad teams......

We have very very bad coaching.......

it would be smart for Ekler to fake an injury to sit out this debacle.... where Ekler already knows the stupid game plan will be to hand off or dump off the ball to as heavily covered Ekler on EVERY play!!!.... beating the hell out of him and shortening his career, all because stupid SD coaches dont like to play rookies.... and they are too cheap to add any players at desperately needed positions....

The team waited till season starts to do surgery on Jackson which could have been done months before season...... who does that???

The team refused to put KA on IR yet he has not played since week one And looks like it will still be awhile....

the organization refused to add anyone to help the team so they have decided saving a few bucks is worth finishing last in division which is where we will be about time we play the raiders.....

they are making no effort to even tease us into thinking they want to win.... all spanos wants to do is make as much profit as possible spending the minimum.....

That hail mary pass showed how much pain Herbert must be in...... before draft Herbert was standing with both feet on the goal line facing the opposite goal line and he trew a pass with just his arm and the pass traveled 65 yards...... when he steps into it it can go 70-80 and 40-50 can be thrown as a bullet..... that hail mary was stepped into from mid field and landed at 5 or 10.... could not even reach endzone..... that injury seriously has affected his play.....

Since he aggravated it in camp and it never bothered him before that, I'm not sure what omnipresent power he should have used to guess he would require surgery.
